I want a float trip for them,I used to fish with stan henry on the hoh and other rivers there.I know there are other places,but A hog line isnt where I want them to be .A nice float down a quiet river is what Im looking for..

typically the 2nd week of march.. but it varries a little by the year, if you want main stem columbia, and it was great last year, or we could do a later trip on the lewis.. either way... should be great

You are right I would also choose a peaceful float down the Sol Duc or the Hoh over the masses of jetboats on the other rivers. If you hit it right on one of those rivers there are fish to be had.

You cant beat Larry Scott at Westside guide service. Easily one of the best up there. Top 3 for sure. Pat grahm is also a full time local guide who knows the Sol duc's springers well. Larry is a master of all. If its solduc Springers mid April to mid May. Also some great late native steelhead in the mix.

The Hoh is not a hatchery run and is really hit or miss but if you hit, you hit bigtime. Biggest Hoh native Springer Ive caught was 32 pounds. This is the last run of giant Native springers left out there.

The duc gets about 800 fish back total. Not a big run either but the places they hide usaully are always inhabited thru the run period.

Truely solitude fishing at its finest. One year on the Duc I lost 7 springers in a row. There very aggressive bitters and fighters. They run when the rivers are low and clear, there very spooky, and they stive in the fast current seams with all the oxegen making them supercharged when hooked. Many days you wont see another fisherman. Most of the big time guides are in AK for the summer by then.

You wont be dissapointed at all.

What are your rates, per person and per boat. How many can you fish comfortably for springers?

typically 175/person Ill give you  125/person  and my boat can fish 6 no problem.. or I could show you the way we rig it and what i brine them in.. maybe we could do some hunting?
