looking for a pic of the elk killed with HUGE curls on the back
« on: January 24, 2015, 09:48:47 PM »
Was working the sportsmans show tonight and got to meet a king country sheriff. Come to find out the bull im lookin for a pic of was poached and the sheriff I met was the guy that busted him. There had been a lot of speculation that this bull was poached but I got first hand confirmation tonight. The guy changed his story about 8 times from what I saw, but turns out it was poached out of Snoqualmie. Anybody have a pic of the elk im talking about that they can post?

id like to get a pic up so everyone knows which bull im talkin about, but apparently the picture created enough stir that the wdfw and king co sheriff decided to do some investigating. They tracked the guy down using the picture of him and bull and found the bull at his house. Upon first questioning he said he pulled it out of hancock but people had sent in multiple trail cam pictures and statements saying it had been seen in other areas. They did some forensic tests and somehow determined that it had been shot at night. The bull has been confiscated and is awaiting a scoring now. The poacher has been arrested and facing felony poaching charges. Too bad though cause from what ive seen it would be a record for sure!

Looks like that bull was entered into the head and horns competition.
Or I'm thinking about a totally different bull.

Im pretty sure it was reported being shot in multiple locations. This is why im trying to get a picture of it up so theres less confusion :dunno: I went upstairs to the head and horn and didn't see it but would love to see it in person. ALOT of bulls from pierce county in that head and horn competition though.

If this is the bill you're talking about your story is not accurate.

The bull I posted the  picture of was killed in King County but rumors were flying that it was killed in washougal.

The Bulls head was at the head and horns competition. Not sure how he could be facing felony poaching charges and still enter the head into the contest.

:yeah:
I thought I saw this guy and this bull at the show today.  Brought the antlers in on his backback about 1pm today I thought.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
