Predator call?
« on: December 26, 2008, 02:41:54 PM »
Howdy
I am looking at the Western Rivers Day Stalker call.  Do any of y'all have an info on them?  I was wondering about how it sounds, volume and does the remote work well out to 200 yds?  Thanks.

I have not researched the Day or Night Stalkers. I know the Predations seemed like crap.
I would check at predatormasters and see what they have to say.

Thanks for the help.  I am glad that I didnt pick one up today like I was going to.  I went through this last winter trying to decide on an electronic call but wound up having to spend the dough on something else.  I really want a Fox Pro but can't justify spending that much $$$.  I will take another look at the Johnny Stewart call.

I also am looking at the Johnny Stewart call. It seems nice and has pretty good reviews on Cabelas

I have a Johnny Stewart "convert-a-call" and it has decent volume and sound. Got it off eBay for around $50 (new.)  It just doesn't have a remote like the Foxpro and Western Rivers. But for the money it's not bad.

I am pretty happy with my Foxpro Scorpion but I wish it was louder. The FX3 seems to work fine and with the dual speakers it is louder then the Scorpion.

Bob's setup works great and has good volume. If you are interested FP also has a similar caller called the FOXPRO - AR4 Amplified Remote Controlled Caller. All you need to add is an mp3 player, cassette/CD, etc.

For the same price.. Bearman is right, the PM4 seems to be a good little caller. I just watched the new JS video and they used it a lot.

:)At the Foxpro site they list refurbished and used units for sale. Some good deals. FX3 is a great call 32 sounds are plenty, I  love my Scorpian but bought the SP55 speaker. I killed a few yotes with a JSpredator when they still had the wired connection.

Thanks for the heads up!  I was headed there in the morning to pick one up.  They had a few of them a couple of weeks ago.  I guess this snow has given the predator hunters the itch that I've got.
