This is the first year in a while that I haven't gotten a nice drake wood duck. That said I did shoot this mallard on Saturday my last day of the season.

Looks like he had a "woody" himself. We used to shoot a bunch of drakes like that when we would jump shoot in January a lot.

yep. January bird for sure lol. I have one in my freezer im gonna mount soon who is at full salute. I jumped him out of a pond where he and two other drake were all raping one hen, they almost drowned her.
