Korr's 2015 season.
« on: January 26, 2015, 08:30:26 PM »
Very late start but im back in the game. I tried to take the season off but could not stand the withdrawals. So i set out one trap and over night landed a 63" beaver and thats dry XL baby. Pics to come soon. Love seeing everybodies success and all the new faces.

Since when has anybody referred to that kind of measuring to size up a beaver?

Usually my keen sense of smell dictates if I even size them up in the first place. :chuckle:

That is standard measuring for beaver. 60"to 65" is an x-large 65" to 70" Blanket 70" and above Super blanket

First cat 2015. Four day soak. Two weeks worth of trapping has brought 3 beaver and one bobcat.

I have eleven cat sets out as of sunday, this recent catch was in one of the swim throughs i set out on sunday! Bobcats are my only focus as of right now but as i said earlier i built a trap for coyote and today scoped out some prime coyote property that i plan on setting up on by weeks end.

How do you build a coyote trap?  I'd love directions for one.

When i figure it out i will be glad to let everyone know how. Ive had this design out for just over a week and have gotten over 250 pics of coyotes sniffing around the trap but none will commit to going in.
