Stolen From my truck
« on: January 27, 2015, 02:42:03 PM »
On Saturday Night I got off work at 10 PM I spent the evening preparing my gear and doing house hold chores, At 330 AM I left and went fishing. I returned home about 8pm that night after being awake for 36 hours. Without so much as a second thought I parked my truck in my driveway and went inside. I PICKED THE ONE NIGHT that some POS Scumbag went through the neighbor hood and stole 2 of my tackleboxes. I estimate about $1000 worth of gear was taken. This happened in a nicer part of Walla Walla that is way off the beaten path. I have attached pictures of what the boxes look like. I have contacted the local pawn shops and have checked craigslist. I have also reported the theft to Walla Walla Police Dept.

I HATE THIEVES!!! I literally have no tackle now and my theft deductible for homeowners insurance is $1000 so claiming it is not worth it.

those doubting the dollar value should know that the flip front box one had an ABU GARCIA AMBASADOR real in it.. both boxes were chuck full of plugs and hooks 2 spools of fire line... Things that took years to collect on my tight budget. :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: One positive note is Dad met me at our old fishing spot around noon and caught a nice little 5LB buck Steelhead, and it was clipped.

Sorry to hear of your loss  :bash: Anyone doubting that a single tackle box having $500 dollars worth of gear in it obviously doesn't know much about fishing gear  let alone two. I had a big tackle box stolen from me on the bank of the green river years ago that had a radio built in it and the power bait that was in it over 30 bottles and each costing over $3 a piece was well over a hundred dollars. The tackle box was over a hundred bucks by itself.

I feel for ya. I got hit a couple months ago in grandview. Most of my hunting gear, backpack, jackets, binocs ,trigger stick. They even cleaned out my glovebox.gps. Owners manual with all my service records.took my floor cady full of change and a roll of grizz. Cops were called but didn't seem too impressed.

So I guess I don't know where to start. I just bought those boxes this fall to consolidate some of my gear. Should I just start to replace it slowly or wait a while and see if it turns up?

Sorry to hear man. That has to suck big time. Thieves are about as low as it gets. Hope you get your stuff back and justice can be served.

Sorry to hear that you got ripped off. This kind of krap is becomming to common. Probably the type of guy you hear about where they catch him go to his house and its full of stolen stuff  with little intention to sell until things cool down. Keep checking with the police department to see if anyone gets caught. I would start replacing it. A person can't let thier guard down and needs to take pictures and videos of all thier belongings.

Hopefully one of the POS tweakers tried to swallow one of the double treble plugs and are now wondering what to do because it's hung up in their throat. :twocents:

PS, I hope you had Gammy 2Xstrong EWG trebles on that plug if they did choose to eat it.

That sucks!! I hate people who steal. I will keep my eyes open down along the river. Unfortunately it happens. I've had someone try and pry the window off my garage. And had my car broken into. SUCKS!!
