Keep in mind that magazines for hunting won't be real heavy since you are limited to 5 rounds for big game. Rainier Arms puts together some nice kits too. Customer service is top notch too.
I, and two other friends have Smith and Wesson M&P 10's (.308). I have been getting just over moa and my friend is getting sub-moa. No complaints at all and I was sold on the price and reviews. I added magpul's PRS stock, MOE grip, MOE hand-guards. NF sits on top. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_815078_-1_785153_757785_757784_ProductDisplayErrorView_Yhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JPnPFp2G44

5 round limit?
No round limit in wa for rifles. I use 10 round for most my hunting. And have had it full while being checked by Leo
My next AR10 type build is going to be with a 20" Blackhole barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoore.
Quote from: Biggerhammer on February 01, 2015, 10:16:26 AMMy next AR10 type build is going to be with a 20" Blackhole barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoore. I would love to have a 6.5 creedmoor in this platform.
Which big game are you looking at hunting, do you have any AR10 platform already or are you set on having it??Someone else mentioned it in passing, but if you already have AR15 you could build a 6.5 Grendel upper for one of your existing lowers. Grendel has great ballistics, shoots a little flatter than 308 out passed 3-400yrds depending on load. 6.5mm is big game legal in WA. Smaller gun format could let you keep the gun lighter as well as less expensive to build.
If I was to a AR 10 I think I would go 260 or creedmoore. Big fan of small bullets going really fast
I been shooting 123 & 100 A-max out of my Grendel and love it. Can shoot it all day with no recoil fatigue Got a box of 85 gr sierra to try out later.
That's pretty good for 10 feet......

[quote author=lamrith Whatched a 16" Grendel carbine this last season jam a Mulie in the dirt at 303 yard and a Bull Elk at 411. Same carbine has a one shot stop on a Mulie at 496 yards. It can be done but I'm leaning more towards a 6.5 Creedmoore on th AR10 platform for this coming season.
