Was down at Fort Bragg, NC this week for work. I have a good friend and walker man lives there and was nice enough to take me out Wed night. Sorry I have no photos to share. We turned loose and his 2 year old dog, who has a HUGE voice, was treed in about 10 minutes. Was a den tree. Loaded him up and moved about a mile away and turned loose on the Cape Fear River. One of the canals that runs into the river was about 30 yards wide and fairly deep with steep 3 foot tall banks. The dog struck and was standing at the waters edge, but being 28 degrees out was none to excited about jumping in. My friend gave him a little help. Dog swam to the other side and could not make it up the other bank. My friend is like, he'll figure it out. Dog starts swimming up and down the bank looking for a place to get out and suddenly finds a really big hole in the bank and swims inside the bank.

You could hear him stand up and shake off and starts walking down the bank, on the inside. It's a huge undercut bank. He walks about 15 yards and all the sudden we hear a big ol snarl and growl of a coon and the dog blows up.

He had walked right into a coon. Not sure if the coon swam out, went further into the bank or slipped out a side hole. But it took the dog 40 minutes to finally some out. Had a blast, wish I could share some photos or video but it was just too dark.
