Lake Roosevelt Koke, and rainbow
«

Nice fish being had.
Fished today at spring canyon, the flies I ordered did not get here in time.
Macks Smile Blades and Squiders worked for me today, behind a small dodger.
Landed my biggest Koke ever, not that I've really fished for them in the past 20 years.

We did very good last Friday. When we went back Tuesday and Wednesday it wasn't as good but we took home 18 fish that weighed a total of 31 lbs. We didn't target silvers but caught 3 anyway. The rainbows fight the whole 250 feet back to the boat and the meat looks red as salmon.

Weather has been uncooperative for me this winter. Seems like when I have a day off, weather is bad. Either snow, ice, or any other weather phenomenon have kept me home. Like said above, this weekend is not looking any better.

Yes, blood red meat in both the bows and koke, firm. Great fish!
My koke was 19" my scale has dead batteries.. bummer.
Tried fishing Banks lake Sunday before the game, launched mid lake, trolled similar to Spring Canyon, and a few other methods I have spring success. But zero success.
Wanted to try Banks, because the bows there are bigger.
Going back to Spring Canyon Sat and Sun.
These four come out of the brine tomorrow and onto the smoker,

19 " silvers would be great, ours were 12" to 16". Rainbows were 14" to 22" we didn't try to weigh them but I think the big one should have been 3 lbs.
