Found duck blind.
« on: December 27, 2008, 07:22:56 PM »
Found a duck blind, south of Sedro-Woolley (in the middle of the road) on my way to work last night. PM me to identify. Gonna put an ad in the paper Monday (found section).

Not to hijack the thread or anything but

Hell, I say finders keepers...unless you are willing to sell...........pm me.....

You know something stanwoodspartan, this is the second post of yours that I have read of yours that makes me question your maturity/ethics.

In one post you say that you hate someone because they were able to do something that you haven't been able to do.  If that is how you really feel, I feel sorry for you.  Be happy for a guy that gets a drake wood duck and a band in the same trip.  Doing one of those things is something that a lot of us consider to be a great accomplishment.

Now we have a guy that is doing the ethical thing and trying to return a valuable item to somebody that lost it and you think that they should keep it, or sell it.  How would you feel if it was your blind that blew out of your truck, or a bag of decoys?  Wouldn't you want the person that found it to at least try to return it to you?

I am not trying to tell you how to live your life or anything, but you really should grow up a little.  99% of the people on this website respect the other hunters in the field as much as we respect the game that we are hunting.  For that reason we help out newbies with gear choices and places to hunt.  We congratulate guys when they accompolish something great.  And if we find something that someone lost we try to return it.

Part of being a sportsman is sportsmanship!

I couldn't agree more kbyer!

I thought the same thing when I read that post a couple days ago.

People who return and put the effort in to do so can be hard to find these days.

But, those are the people who have great karma and an easy soul.

One morning, some of my buddies and I had some dekes blow out of the back of the truck/boat (I don't remember which one). By the time we got back to pick them up, there was some other jack a** picking them and he "sold" our decoys back to us. That's a cruddy feeling. Don't be that guy.

Balladeer- I couldn't agree more.  A buddy of mine had 2 bags of 6 GHG mag goose floaters blow out of his boat on the way home.  He turned around and was able to get to 1 bag just as the second bag got hit by a semi.  he was really p!ssed when he called me to tell me about it.

The owner of the duck blind that I found on the road during the snow's has called and identified the blind. He'll be picking it up this evening. The blind was a Cabela's Ultimate layout blind that he bought for his son for Christmas. It blew out of his son's truck 1 or 2 day's after Christmas after returning home from a hunt. When he get's here to pick the blind up I plan to inform him of this website in case he's never heard of it before. Thank's for those that added their mature input's.

This is awesome Blacktail. Thanks for being a gentleman and following the Golden Rule.
If people followed the Golden Rule our country would be so much better off.
