Why do some of you think that muzzy elk on the Eastside will be more crowded now? Because deer and elk are the same season? A few years ago they were the same season and there were more hunters this last year than when they were the same. The fact that 328 and 329 are open now leads me to believe that the rest of the 300s will be less crowded, with more people going to North Kittitas County.

Thanks T-Bar the washelkhunter seems to have his panties in a bunch.. Its good for everyone.. seems like he likes to complain I'm done on this subject before i say something i should't. This is why we are weak as hunters. some only want their side to benefit. That is to bad like i said It will be good for everyone for a while

The last couple years, muzz season has been as bad as modern so I don't see it being more crowded, even with more switching to hunt it. That's a lot of new units. The Margret will be a huge draw and will be a circus,  ( I hope) and will take pressure off the other areas. The question I have is did they do this because of the hunters or because of the access fees

You must be hunting on the Westside? There are 3 times as many hunters during mod fire compared to muzzy on the Eastside.

Yeah take off the skirt.  I think we should be talking about how well wdfw listened to all of the user groups.

Today's compounds and components are hardly primitive.  And of coarse hardly a soul is throwing a round ball.   But honestly, mid to late sept archery hunts in nearly every unit on the west side compared to the 6 day seasons ML guys get?  It's been at least 15 yrs since ML guys got Willipa hills early season and I don't recall a late season ever.  200yd muzzy shots?  Sure it happens.  80yd AR shots?  That happens too.   Id wager that if you did a survey of how far most rifle hunters killed a deer or elk in West Wa 150yds or less would be the average.   I hunt AR.ML,and MOD for elk alternating every two years.  Muzzy guys get screwed big time.

Again can anyone recall a late season Entiat hunt for bucks with muzzys?    Nope, screwed again...

So I'm good with the later archery season. My problem is I drew the quality observatory last year and more than likely won't this year.  I'm thinking if I draw the multi season elk that I would like to burn up these 10 points I have in the Bull category. Being mainly a archery hunter there isn't much to go after in the Bull category.
So....which bull permit do I go after with these 10 points?  I'm open to new areas.

Suggestions?

I love the way it is now and anybody that tries to change it has to come through me.
That should be all of our attitudes.
Cause this is America and a country boy is good enough for me son..."

Why wait till they open all the extra units and finally give the muzzleloaders a better season to complain?

Okay, nobody is "screwed." You want to apply for a late Entiat permit, buy a rifle tag, an archery tag, or multi season.

Think that's directed at me... Me, myself and I have written WDFW many many times especially regarding the lack of late season mulie hunts in comparison to AR and MOD guys.  I've done my part.  And prolly in a way to politically correct way.

Late Season Entiat any buck hunts

AR 50 tags
Mod 15 tags
ML 0 tags

The AR and Mod numbers have dropped.   Anyone remember how many MOD and AR tags were given in the Entiat say 10 yrs ago?  Has there ever been an any buck last season ML tags for the Entiat?   :dunno:

Laffin,  gee thanks for the opportunity to take a late season buck in the Entiat with a ML.   We all dream brother.  One of my dreams is a late season Entiat hunt and a chance at a big migrator in that unit with a ML.  Yours may vary.
