Hey all just curious if any of you are goin to this shindig it's called the Flint Tip Archers- Frosty Fletch and or have gone to it in the past and what your thoughts are on it? I've been thinkin about startin to try and go to some of the shoots around here, they look fun but I've never been to an archery shoot before.

The shoot is this week end . Flint Tip is a small club just out of Enumclaw off Hwy . 410 . They are mostly made up of Trad . shooters but this shoot is open for all shooters . I have never done a 3D shoot there but have shot their course a few times . It's a nice place . It's a 2 day shoot , registration starts a 7 am Saturday , must shoot both days for awards and both days scores count . Cards have to be in by 1pm Sunday .

Nice flat range and walk through course. Although some of the bails are soft so expect arrows to be buried all the way to the nock.  Looks like they are making improvements to the walk through course.

My wife and I went up and shot the 3D cource today . This shoot is open to all bows but we felt a bit out of place shooting comounds , Trad . shooters rule here and the cource reflects that . 29 targets , one steal and one moving and nothing over 40 yards. We did have a good time , though it was not as challenging as most courses. I think the shots were more in line with shots you would see hunting on the west side and I liked that . I also think that if you were looking for a good starter at 3D this would be it , you won't loose to many arrows on this one , though my wife and I both trashed arrows on the moving target :bash:. I don't know if I would want a steady diet of this kind of shoot but it was fun and very low keyed .
