Anyone ever switch from right to left hand?

Pulled my buddies bow which was left handed and it actually felt more comfortable then right handed. Anyone ever switch shooting sides, and if so how did it go?

No I did the test and I'm right eye dominant.

I've shot both right and left handed just to learn it and be comfortable as as much as possible. I've found that after a few times doing it at close range that if the situation ever presented itself I know I could get it done if need be. I'm a righty by nature but I do a few things left handed, like eat, shoot pool and bat (thanks dad!) Just knowing that I can do it is a bonus. Still feels like throwing a baseball left handed but shooting come a little more natural. If you are left eye dominant it may explain why its more comfortable or you just may be a little ambidextrous.

some people myself included look to the recent topics bar on the right of the screen it doesnt say what the topic thread is in just title, I too came along thinking it was going to be guns or virtual campfire thus will refrain as well since my bow shooting days came and went.

I shot left handed for 25 years not knowing much about eye dominance. I was shooting fingers with my homemade longbow at the time when I shortened one of my fingers on my left hand in my meat grinder. That substantially changed my shot, so I got a right hand bow and haven't looked back. Plus, it turns out I am right eye dominant anyway. It's not nearly as big of a change as most people would think.

I have always been right hand/left eye but only time it ever mattered was when I would win bets shooting modern firearms "handycapping" myself by shooting left handed.
With archery I shoot both eyes open and look where I want the arrow to go, not down the string so never really thought about it until a few seasons ago at a 3D shoot.
I have been practicing with my dual shelf Bear recurve to try to get more comfortable, but still like to carry my bow in my left hand so I have the right one free to use calls, look at my GPS, and other items.
Whatever is more comfortable for you..
If it works, dont (?) with it.

I couldn't throw left handed to safe my life but for me it was an easy switch from right to left for both rifle and bow.  Unless there is a physical impairment preventing shooting one way or the other I definitely recommend shooting based on your dominant eye.
