Yep, I think you're right.  I hadn't noticed it in the last pic.

I have seen blacktails colored like that including one that looked like an appaloosa with white butt with dark spots up near Cougar.  Tried to get pictures, but they were to far away for the camera I had.. This was about 10 years ago.

That is one awesome looking deer though.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Bet that one came from the north east. They have a few deer with that gean witch produces that coloration. I saw a doe that looked like that in Pennsylvania in the 80's. Cool pic's!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

I saw a piebald while out in the woods this year.  First one I've ever seen alive.  Was pretty neat.  Didn't have my camera because I was shooting my rifle to sight it in.  Didn't expect to see any deer.

It's a recessive genetic defect, and I've seen quite a few of them on Whidbey Island. I guess that the confined breeding population on the island causes the condition to be more prevalent. Anyway, if you want a good chance at seeing one, check out W.I. in the spring.
