I do everything 2 inches high at 100 yards. You should be on around 250 yards about 4 low at 300. My books show +.9 at 100 for a 200 yard zero with that load, 5.5 low at 300.

ok that sounds pretty good. I was running the numbers on some calculators and they show right around what you said. is a 55 grn sp a good coyote rnd? I was going back and forth between these and the vmax. vmax being a bit more spendy.

Both are great. I prefer the soft points. I tried the vmaxs and they blew huge holes. Both are very accurate. Many guys love the vmaxs.
good luck with your new gun

I think zeroing at 200 is a very good idea with that caliber. :twocents:

You should be real happy with that caliber. I zero my 30.06 an inch or two high at 200 yds. I agree with MtnMuley, zero that 22-250 in at 200 yds. Most of my coyote shots happen between 150 and 250 yds.

Ok great, good to know.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm hitting the range tommorow so I will give an update of how it goes. I have gone back and forth on which caliber and I just love the 22-250. I will see how I like it when I shoot it.

What scope do you have or does someone recommend for a 22-250? Don't mean to thread jack.

what you sigh in for will depends on the speed from everything I can cross reference
Sierra 55 grain SBT 3700 fps 200 zero +.89 @100, 250 zero 1.68 @100
Sierra 55 gr SBT 3500 fps 200 zero +1.09@100, 250 zero +1.99 @100

Reason I used the 3700 FPs is that is what I am with handloads of 37.5 gr IMR 4064 w/ Fed 210 primers
I have mine Sako sighted in +1.94 @100 so I have a MPBR of 310 yards
MPBR = Maximum Point Blank Range = +/-2.5 inches above or below line of sight
