Half-body Black Bear Wall Mount
« on: February 09, 2015, 08:25:06 PM »
Got a bear this last fall. The taxidermist I am using uses a tannery that takes a little longer than normal... I am having a half-body wall mount (mouth closed) done. I think?  Was wanting to see if anyone might have something like that they could post up?

Here's a crappy picture of mine done by a tricities taxidermist. Can take more if you would like.

Shot him with my bow about six years ago.  Not the biggest but a special moment in my hunting career so I had to do something.  I do like the looks of these mounts however.

Here's our biggest bear, his left ear looks funny because it had been bitten off at some point in life.

Those wall mounts are my personal favorites. I like them better than a full mount. Saw one of a cougar once. If I ever kill a cat. I'm getting a wall mount!

How much does a typical 1/2 body wall mount weigh ready to hang?

Mine isn't very big, so it doesn't weight much.  small bears are easier to pack out!   :chuckle: :chuckle:
