need some opinions
« on: February 10, 2015, 06:34:24 PM »
im doing a complete overhaul or my hunting property to get ready for this season. One of the top priorities is adding about ten new trail cams to the couple I have now. im looking for a good quality cam that wont bankrupt me because of how many im going to be buying. any recommendations?

If you find one you like see if a local shop can give you a bulk discount. You may have to wait for an order from their supplier but it's usually worth it.

Natchez.com always has some good deals.

eBay is where I buy a lot of mine.

My favorite two cams are the bushnell trophy cam and the browning recon force. You can find em' for around 100$ or so.

I'm gonna pick up a Stealth Cam STC-P12 and see how it tests out. For about 50$ on eBay it's worth a shot. Here's a review on that cam and other cheaper priced cameras: http://www.cheaptrailcameras.com

Rodgers shooting supply also and watch amazon...I have been buying new refurbed cams and had 0 issues for the last 2 years with them.

My favs are wildgame innovations hands down...not 1 has given me a problem or multiple buddys around 50 cams total...cant say that for my bushnell thats in the garbage. Primos, tasco and moultrie all having issues in cold weather triggering on deer.

I own 4 different models and all work great...I just pulled 2 cams lat week that had been out since Nov and still had 3/4 battery life and triggering just fine. My fav is the lightsout model. The wide angle pic should be the only option on all cams it captures alot of area.

A good option is to buy from Walmart online. You can get a two year warranty through Walmart for $9. With as many problems as trail cams have, that's worth the money, in my opinion.

Here's one to look at:  http://www.walmart.com/ip/Wildgame-Innovations-T6B1-Scouting-Camera-Blade-6-x-Lightsout/37310125?action=product_interest&action_type=title&placement_id=irs_top&strategy=PWVUB&visitor_id=Og-Oim5LlJhhjq6VS6MTn8&category=&client_guid=9970af65-b0b2-44d4-8e24-034b09aac137&customer_id_enc=&config_id=2&parent_item_id=34954732&parent_anchor_item_id&guid=239afdc8-8383-4c38-b4b6-641cd683da09&bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&beacon_version=1.0.0&findingMethod=p13n

I don't have that camera but that's a good price and with the extended two year warranty I don't think you could go wrong.

Wildgames for me have never had a problem. Bushnell and moultries have had a few different issues...
