Yeah, I always wonder about the negative opinions of things people won't even try like Spiny dogfish, Sea cucumber, Mergansers, Raccoon, Cougar, Bobcat, Coyote, Possumetc.  I will try pretty much anything... once.

I've definitely eaten spiny dogfish. I used to catch them all of the time when I was fishing for Mackeral off of the piers in NC. It's not that bad if it's breaded and fried.
There is something just indescribably painful about being stuck behind a prius on the interstate.

I figure my parents, grandparents & other relatives ate them and possum and squirrel down south for a lot of years before I came along. I've never tried it, but am willing to. Ya gotta figure the wild ones are eating nuts and fruits, berries and grubs. The ones around my place devastate the cherry trees. If they turn out to be cherry-flavored, I'm going to have to make the best of it. The pelt is just a bonus. I always wanted a coonskin cap anyway. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. Raccoon, possum & toss in a little squirrel for flavoring? Sounds good to me.
