Moses Lake Coyote Hunting
« on: February 19, 2015, 04:34:02 PM »
Hey everyone!
The wife and I plan to head over to Moses Lake here soon to visit her uncle, so while we are there I thought I could try some dog hunting there, since the area there is a lot like back home.  Still only been in Washington for a little over a year, so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me out on some good areas to hunt over by Moses Lake.  I'm not trying to get anyone to give up their sweet spots, but if anyone could point me in the right direction,  I would greatly appreciate it.
I would like to thank Ya'll for your help on my first post, it helped a lot.  Seem like some really decent people are here in this forum.

Pretty much any of the WDFW land. Use the Go hunt tool. Glyod seeps, Rocky ford creek, all along the Dodson rd that borders the potholes on the W side of it...

Not to mention there are lots of "smaller" WDFW areas that you can hunt/call from. Depending on where in moses you are staying I would be that the more broken sage areas N of I 90 or the area off Dodson would be better... Dogs in the open have been shot at a bunch. I think there was a coyote derby a few weekends ago.

Good Luck and Post some Pics!

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I'm  thread  jacking here but I need to ask. Every time I try to use the go hunt maps when i scroll in closer it reduces the screen to like 1/4 the size and i can't see barely anything. This does this on the ipad and my cell phone. Is there something I can do to make it not reduce the screen when I try to zoom in? I want to check out dog spots also.

We've been trying to find the dogs around Dodson Rd the last two weekends.  Have had zero luck.  Boot prints everywhere too.  We were talking about heading up the Gloyd seeps instead.  Good luck let us know if you find yotes responding to calls.
