No marks just an old hunk of "Carbon Steel"  :sry: I'm sort of an old skool knife purist!! Showed a person last fall why the Havalon isn't such a hot tool!! He didn't want to try with his "new age knife" what I did with mine and he agreed mine was every bit as sharp!!!    :chuckle:

I would like old school knives if I could figure out how to sharpen them  :chuckle:

but I got a work sharp for Christmas so maybe I'll just start collecting them and put a convex edge on everything I own

That is a nice handle.  I had heard that those Havalon knives aren't bad.  Probably not as good as an electrician's knife but O.K. in a pinch.  Do you prefer an aromatic or aliphatic-based petroleum distillate on that handle?

I was told when it was returned the wood is a dense base and has sort of a feeling like an oil impregnated handle.
It does have a nice feel and I am looking forward to using it. Sometime!!!   :chuckle:

Cool old knife.  Make sure to put it in your will - give it to somebody who will appreciate it.
