Deer walking over log
« on: February 20, 2015, 11:52:14 AM »
I thought this was kind of interesting. Rather than jumping over a big log, this deer looks like it just walked right over it.

Just for comparison, the Moultrie m80 takes much better pictures than the Primos Ultra 35:

Looks like a jump to me, they don't expend any more energy than necessary to get over things.  It is pretty amazing watching a deer jump over a fence w/o a running start.

It could be a jump, I just thought if it was jumping the picture would have been blurred.

Good shots.  I'd turn that cam 180 degrees and move the cam to the other side of that log.  It might be a pretty cool view.

Good idea, I'll see if I can find a tree in a good spot to catch the other side of the log. Actually I may just leave the one camera and put up another. I've got several cameras just sitting here in my house doing nothing right now.

Those are really nice quality pics. What is the native resolution? How much do you pay for a camera like that?

It was a refurbished camera and I paid $65, but I see they're going for $98 now. It's a 5 megapixel camera. It takes the best pictures of any camera I own. I wish I had more than one!

Those moultrie shots look like the last spot we set up for elk last year.

Funny! My sister's older Arab mare does the same thing and she will actually pull her belly across the log.  That was in her younger years and she is 23 this year! I have a daughter, granddaughter and grandson to that mare.
