Well STARTED as a replacement for a hole and major rip in floor vinyl on one sheet of plywood, morphed from there!
- All floor boards and seats out of boats, boy was it nasty underneath - wow! Going to replace floor boards with diamond plate. 5 sheets of 4 x 8. Ouch!
- New front seats for the captain and co-captain - comfy
- All old Zolotone removed and being Rhino lined inside and outside
- Replacing 48" storage benches with new 150 qt coolers and pad - vision of Tuna runs dancing in my head...
- New LED lighting - floods, anchor, running and cabin

Need some assistance for the electrical system connections - so willing to trade fishing trip for the part that I have zero experience

Last picture strictly for wishful thinking - 2000hp... yikes!

- putting new fuse panel and bus terminal - anyone really good with wiring for a trade for fishing trips? I want a new 12 panel switch so I have basically a switch and fuse for almost all components

Its not all that difficult to do. so dont be detured.

get your fuse panel. mount it in the location you want it. run your dedicated power and ground and start adding your components, simple.

Hey I just sent you a pm on the diamond plate.

And what exactly are you looking for for wiring help? I just completed my brand new hulls wiring. All new LEDs, new lorance system, tr1, engines, battery switches, aux switches, washdown system ect.

I use Duetch connectors on lots of stuff. There sealed with stainless terminals. The best there is. I have a unlimited supply and the crimping tools too. For allot of stuff you don't need them, but for some stuff it's nice cause they come apart easy. I even use the high current ones to replace all my down rigger connections cause they don't corode and fail like the standard stuff. I can hook you up with these too.

I sent you a text for tomorrow about the sheets. Going to look at getting some kind of rubber flashing of sorts and something underneath on the stringers to ensure vibration free..

?? I guess you don't remodel your own house ,huh ?

Mike, I have about 1/2gallon or more of the tar epoxy that I've used for coating my aluminum gas tank ...... if you're interested ....I'll look tomorrow what is it called ....

Do you have a pop rivet gun? I'd just drill out those snaps and replace them. They're cheap and it appears to be loose anyways.

If you're going to rino liner it just leave an old cleco in the hole or a wood dowel pin maybe then pop in a new canvas snap on top of the rino liner.
Unless your replacing the top, in which case just get rid of all the snaps and let the upholster put new ones in.

Oh yeah, just finished drilling out 55 snaps after work tonight... Good to clean up all the minor corrosion underneath anyhow. Auugh! A tooth pick in each will be the guideline, but the nice thing I am not replacing my back deck canopy at all, so about half of the snaps will not be re-installed. I t was pretty ripped up anyhow due to one bad mistake while towing.. lol

Man what I need a Carpenter that can cut the heck out of a straight line, know any??? If you do not need it, I'd take it for sure, would add a bit of sound proofing to get rid of the whales when I have under a half tank of fuel. (The sound of the fuel going back and forth sounds like a whale talking under water)...

Mike , the stuff its called "Amercoat-black resin" and have little bottle of the Amercoat cure that you mix it with as well .... also have a gallon of "Albright-aluminum cleaner" .I've used it to coat my new gas tank against corrosion on the bottom ...... It may not hurt if you could easily check the bottom of your tank for pitting - if its aluminum . I don't know if I could cut straight line

but would be willing to help you if I can .I'm about 45 minutes away ,what do you need ? Just pm me .
The two pics are my boat project from winter 2013/2014 (not including new bigger custom tank, swapping V4 for V8 ,changing outdrive and stuff)

The diamond plate is easy to cut like I said.
For a straight as heck line you just need to rig a fence for the saw. Heavy duty angle iron or something clamped to the DP to run the saw against. Go slow and keep even pressure on the fence with the saw. If you have a buddy who is handy with a saw its easy as pie.

Usually its a price point thing, that being said the chemicals in pressure treated wood are corrosive and eat away aluminum. Always try to use marine grade wood.

Aluminum Diamond Plate going in, all wooden stuff removed and will be used for template then tossed or used for something by someone I guess...

I found the perfect piece of angle iron that is 8 ft long and straight as an arrow, will use your advice for sure... Hopefully this weekend I get to it, looks like I can use a warehouse where I work to let it dry out before the rhino lining goes on instead of waiting for weeks for a couple days of sunshine... Rhino going on inside of boat, not on top Diamond plate - I want people to get a suntan the first couple years under their chins - the hard places for us Washingtonings on this side of the state to tan.

He is a serious Craftsman all the way. A huge big thank you for sure for all your efforts today. We cut everything cut and fitted and then removed. Tomorrow if weather holds some rhino lining inside then re-install the beautiful diamond plate... A little shiny, but a few days in the salt will take care of that properly... Excited as heck and betting will be ready before I run for Springer's in end of March...

Added some Inside Rhino Lining today to the bottom areas and transom, first coat looking good and covering the bead blasted metal really well.. Can't wait to put it all back together in about a week or so..

Nice job Mike and Cap.Silver! Looks great! It will dull fast with use.

Diamond plate in .125" is 173 a sheet right now. It varies like all materials. Let me know if you need some.

Oh it is shiny right now, but it will dull quickly with some foot traffic and salt water. Slippery - not bad, as my buddy has it in his 25 ft sled and not an issue on grip. My front bow is same stuff and not slippery there either? Thanks to Wildmanoutdoors for lining me up with the material!
