They did that one on Myth Busters with a 30-06.  They got the barrel to crack but nothing that dramatic.

i think its a fake... howcome the picture with the hurt dude looks so different, i got the email also.

theres a couple of videos on you tube with a-bolts barrels splitting like that when being fired.

WOW!!  That sucks....I have never seen a barrel do that.  OUCH
