http://www.backcountryhunters.org/index.php/rendezvous-general/schedule/184-about/834-4th-annual-rendezvousJoin us at BHA’s 4th Annual National Rendezvous, March 6-8 in Spokane, Washington - the premiere North American gathering of backcountry sportsmen and women as we come together for good conversation, informative seminars, and great giveaways.
Tickets are now on sale for BHA's 2015 North American Rendezvous at the Red Lion Hotel in Spokane, Washington, March 6-8. Tickets here:
http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07ea6hulwpd29e8a3d&llr=euieaamabThis year we are excited to announce BHA member and supporter, Randy Newberg, as our keynote speaker! As the host of the Sportsman Channel's Fresh Tracks, Randy lives and breathes the lifestyle of the public land hunter and has earned a reputation as a well respected voice in the conservation and hunting community.
The Rendezvous will again include a wide range of seminars on backcountry skills, stories and habitat conservation - seminars like Archaeology and the Hunt: Wild Sheep and the 500 Year-Old Man, and the always popular, Women in Hunting: We Ain't Gatherers Anymore!
We are also honored to offer a showing of hunting ethicist, David Petersen's, new film, "“On the Wild Edge: Hunting for a Natural Life," which is a feature-length independent film produced by Belgian filmmaker Christopher Daley and financed through crowd funding (BHA, CO BHA, and individual members are significant donors). This unscripted 66-minute documentary explores the timeless physical and spiritual relationships shared by humans, wildlife and the wild landscapes that nourish both, by following the yearly archery elk hunt of writer, BHA founding member and award-winning conservationist David Petersen. A parallel theme tracks the lives of David and Caroline Petersen across decades of rural self-reliance and simplicity, lived on the wild edge of nature in the Colorado Rockies.
As if that's not enough, this year, we'll also be hosting a Backcountry Brewfest on Friday night. Imagine the fun of elk camp, except with a selection of more than a dozen local microbrews, great prizes and a solid roof over your head instead of a leaky tarp. And while you're there, you'll have the opportunity to test out gear from some of the top backcountry gear companies in North America.
Last year we raffled and auctioned off more than $40,000 in backcountry gear and trips. And we expect to give even more away this year!
A registration ticket for the full weekend of events is $145 and includes:
3 full meals, dinner Friday and Saturday night + lunch on Saturday
7 seminars + the 2015 Legislative Lunch Panel
1 ticket to the Backcountry Brewfest
1 ticket to "On the Wild Edge" film showing
1 gift bag to the first 300 people that register
Stay tuned for more of our great raffle and auction items! (think driftboats, inflatable canoes, record-setting caribou mounts…just to name a few!)
We hope to see many of you in Spokane! Please don't hesitate to call the BHA office with any questions at 406-370-4325.
