A lot of folks keep saying to drive it out of there. Like JH nimrod said, You would need a beast of a rig to make that climb back out.....if all went reasonably well.      OR      the guy could roll it trying and scatter parts and fluids all the way down the hill to the orchard below, increasing the damage and more than likely ending his life.

Here is a picture taken from the other side of the river that might give you a better idea of the magnitude of where the jeep sits. This ground is not hard, it's soft, loamy, crushed granite, the kind of stuff you take one step up and slide back two.  The red X is basically where the two track dirt road ends, the red circle is where the jeep sits, yellow line is basic route of decent.

He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

There are parts of that hill I wouldn't want to go down in a dozer without a full blade of material.

He should have thrown a tan/brown tarp over that rig and piled some sage bushes on it to conceal it. Then made a midnight run with recovery gear on a good hard freeze.  Maybe he can plee to get it out on a good freeze so no more damage to the terrain is made. I think Mark owes us all a explanation? Hopefully he's OK? Not in intensive care for heart o tack or something? :dunno:

Thing is the road actually ends at the swing which isn't even in that pic. He had to cruise down the ridge just to get into that picture.

That is insane, wth was he thinking.  I'm thinking Jackalope is right, it looks like a helicopter is his best bet getting it out.  What an expensive screw up.

Wow that gives me a way better perspective on this thread. That looks like a death trap for sure!

WOW! Mark's a total *censored*. I agree the law should throw the book at him. I think he may be able to drive it out chained up all around and lightened up. Roof panels, doors, spare tire, etc. Winch anchored from above.  :dunno:  Funny stuff tho.  :chuckle:

Thanks for the pic, it is a much better perspective than I have. Finally people can see what pickle he is in.
