Even worse, and contrary to all of the data, some of us remain optimistic about our chances of being drawn.  :chuckle:

Yeah way to start the whining rad.....,

It is ridiculous that we have less than three weeks to plan now.

After all our history with WDFW it's amazing how many remain optimistic they could accomplish something on time. With their dedication to sportsmen these days I'm surprised they draw more than a week before the season opener. :tung:
And you wonder why you get "Not Selected" every year  :chuckle:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I kept my optimism for over twenty five years.  Finally lost it last year...about the time multi-season deer results came out :chuckle: :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I talked with the old director wanting to know if I was on some type of "Black List".  In an email response he said, "I looked up your application history.  You are right.  That is a lot of rejection" :chuckle:

Yeah I'd never apply again.  That's 1 in 8000 chances of getting not selected for deer.  Imagine if you hit those odds for you to draw a tag.  It would be a good one.

Odd thing is, after I was told I was not on any "black list" I drew my first bear tag and a cow tag.  Not that I used the cow tag, but it was an honor just to be nominated 8)

Hopefully we find out this week. If my drawing record lives up to the normal poor performance, I still have 2-3 years before I have enough points again.

Does anyone know the draw odds for Spring Bear?

I don't know the # of tags entered or expected to issue otherwise I could do the math myself. Knowing such odds will help me whine when I don't think they went in my favor or call foul when one of you sukkas get drawn.

All we have is the number of applications in 2014, and that was 3,664. That was for 697 spring bear permits. But of course this year permit numbers were increased, so odds should be slightly better.

I was under the impression that the tag increases will not go into effect until 2016. Is that correct???
