The water temp is still to low. I have seen a few in the shallows on the really warm days but it will be awhile before they really move in.

We are ready to quit shed hunting as soon as the fish move up. We went last year for the first time and we are now hooked.

Fish are actually quite active right now. We've shot a lot with good sized eggs and showing prespawn characteristics. This early shooting generally yields some of our biggest fish. The hardest part about this time of year is finding clear water. With runoff and rainfall the Columbia/ Snake and Tribs get pretty dirty. Hit up the reservoirs. A group of us from the Washington Bowfishing Association will be at Potholes Saturday night for some fun shooting. Look us (Washington Bowfishing Association) up on Facebook to see the exact details for this Saturday all are welcome. It's going to be a blast.
We're actually having our first conservation event, in coordination with WDFW at the end of March. It might be the only time you can legally shoot a Grass Carp in the state of WA. Details on our website and facebook.

We had an awesome shoot Saturday Night. Although the Crab Creek area was a little dirty (they opened the canal to fill the reservoir) shooting was still very good for this time of year. We had 10 boats and most boats shot 25+ fish, for the 4 hours we were out.
It's surprising how many eggs were stuck to my boat

Im Thinking of getting one of the large party spots at cascade park in moses to house everyone. we might make some day trips to Winchester or elsewhere but that just seems like a good place to gather everyone. Ive shot carp up by rocky ford creek area but is there decent carp shooting around cascade park?

We Washington Bowfishing Association) is actually hosting a tournament out of Cascade park May 30-31. There are lots of good sized fish in that lake. Plus you can hop into the dunes at potholes or, like you said, Winchester. Banks lake also has good numbers of fish too.

Just noticed your events posted. I will talk with some of the members about it. That just seems like the best place for a group to work out of incase people dont want to travel once getting to the RV park.

Honestly Potholes is a better fishery for bowfishing, just cause you can get away from the crowds, and plenty of fish in varied cover. Moses has bigger fish. Both will make a great trip for you guys.

The state launch (Blythe) gives you protected access to the dunes. Powerline launch off of Road C gives you protected access to crab creek.
