The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.

Me and a buddy drew 49 degrees north

I was selected for 49 deg. As well. I have only hunted turkey in close to there. How's the bear numbers in 117?
.                                                                                     Not to sure. I've spent most if my time in 101. That was our first choice. My friend has hunted deer there a lot so he knows his way around. Harvest reports looked good. Gonna study up on it, but mostly scout while hunting I guess. Good luck, see ya there!

Congrats trophy hunt. Have fun they should be spread out this year.
thanks Jason, should be interesting. I'm am curious what it will be like, not sure how different the bears will be, not sure how this weather will affect the hunt.

If there is no snow come the opener I think it will be a good idea to be on the mountain. Bears should be moving. I drew wenaha a couple years ago and went around the 10th of may and all the snow was gone and the bear I was seeing would come out of the timber for 5 minutes or so and then head right back in. I think they had plenty of food in the timber already so they were not spending as much time out in the open. I think we were a couple weeks late that year. If the weather holds out like it has I think I will be trying it out on the opener. Just my :twocents:
