C'mon, Silk. Dig deeply, two more days. You are the last hope of the free world.
(OK, a little overboard on that last one.)
Go get 'em!

There's barely any beer in pomeroy. Kinda like elk. Few and far between.
I am actually there right now. I am finding plenty of beer but a shortage on whiskey and elk and maybe turkeys

Hope you connect on one...I was in Wenaha E last fall and bear EVERYWHERE. I was seeing 5-6 per day...but we were elk hunting.

Been pretty quiet for awhile! Either the phone went dead or the wenaha wolves moved in?

How do you measure trying, you do, or you don’t.

There was plenty of beer there when I was there last summer. What are you talking about, did the town go dry?

Phones not dead, just finished trying to go after a GIANT blonde. He was about 3 miles by the crow fly. We spent about two hours working a couple miles around and down a ridge and finally got cliffed out pretty hard. We left a spotter back up top, and he disappeared about thirty minutes after we started into the timber, and presumably back to the crick bottom. Our original estimate of two hours to make the other ridge was grossly underestimated. Every time I think o realize how big this country is, I'm quickly reminded I don't know sheet.
On the plus side, we found some stellar draws to glass of i had five more days...
Alas this is the last one. Unless I can get clearance from wife for another long weekend.

It's been a great ride following along with you on your trip! Hopefully you can get back for a couple more day's before June 15th, at least you had chances and that is the most important aspect of a hunt for me. Chances is all I can ask for, great pics and thanks for having us along on your ride!

Kept my logger on daily. 27k feet of elevation gained and lost from trailhead to trailhead over 9 days in the high country.
