I'll give the spring hunt one more go in June before hanging it up until August. Head in on a Thursday night through Sunday.

Sweet, Im rooting for you!!!. I'm gunning for the 30th myself, maybe that next weekend as well. Might be rubbed up by then, but that's just less weight to pack out and claws that don't need to stay with the hide.

Went and put another 25 rounds through the rifle this morning. Feel good about the session! Bring on the long range!

Thats the best one to go after! Awesome color, and smaller so you have less meat to pack and eat.  :chuckle: cheaper rug also. Go get em!

I'd have gone after that one! Would have draped over the back of the couch nicely.
But if jug head is the goal, then jug head is the goal.
Good luck man. Aim small.

Just got a text from Travis...they're on a bear, waiting for him to show himself. Sounds like a nice one.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
