What are some of the things you guys have done using it to save money?
I already have 24lbs of buck board bacon waiting, I plan on doing roast beef and ham for sandwiches.

I am sure there is some other stuff. Cant wait to hunt this year and use it. I intend to get a grinder also this year before season.

I have wanted one fore years, they are expencive.
I smoked a Brisket a few weeks back, it wasnt as pretty as I wanted it to be after cutting it(it was pretty but the cuts werent perfect). With all the other smoking I do, I waited long enough and pulled the trigger.

I do a lot of sliced cheese on mine.  I have a 12" Globe model. I picked up a nice used one for cheap from a woman parting out a defunct catering business.  I also do ham, roast beef, etc.  With cheese, do not vacuum seal it without putting something like wax paper between the slices.  It welds itself back together.  Found that out the hard way.  DOHHH!!  I love making my own bacon now because I can slice it exactly how thick I like it and the slices are perfectly uniform.

Yes, you can freeze cheese after it is vacuum sealed.  When you thaw it, let it sit at room temperature until it is completely thawed.  That will help with the texture issues from freezing.  Some cheeses though will be a little crumbly.  Cheddar is one of them.  Softer cheeses tend to freeze very well.
