Nice work.  You have a good eye.

I assume you are using a Digital SLR camera.  If you are not already doing so, you might want to try playing with filters, such as a polarizing filter for intense light situations, or a daylight filter or UV filter that screen out some of the light that film/ccds pick up that our eyes cannot see.  Shoot the shots both ways and see if you like one better than the other.  Small investment, well worth the money.

Definitely some nice shots in there. If you're looking for more specific C&C you should consider breaking the post up into smaller chunks and preceding each photo with a number so they can be reviewed one by one. Otherwise its a lot more difficult to offer specific feedback for the viewers.

fishnfur. I'm pretty sure he's using a CPL on at least a few of the shots. Look at the banding in the sky on that shot above the bighorn ewes. See how it goes from dark to light? That's pretty endemic of a CPL being used on a wide angle shot. Its not a defect of the camera or CPL, its just what happens if a CPL is used on a wide angle. It will polarize parts of the sky at a 90 degree angle to the sun and as that stretches to 0/180 the polarization effect will disperse.

Would you guys be okay with me starting a smaller numbered thread for the C&C of my pictures?

Good call Bean Counter.  I see it now that I look back and review them.

My point was that some of them seem a bit harsh or washed out, almost like an overexposure, which is probably not the case.  More than likely, much of that is due to the loss of quality as the photos are saved to a format like JPG and also, issues with my screen displaying the colors and brightness differently than others might.

Great photos though.  I gave up that hobby years ago.  I let my wife handle the camera now.
