I hunt with Coach!  Oh wait, you said unique, not antique! :chuckle:

I just read this to Coach!!!  He yelled something that starts with the F....
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

The Whiners suck!!

I hunted last fall with a suppressed 760 pump carbine in 35 Remington, running my own 255gr cast hollow point subsonic loads. It worked great on the one whitetail I shot.
I would like to see a picture of that setup or any others you guy's would like to share

Pic with a Liberty Mystic on my own QD mount, although I hunted with a Form 1 suppressor of similar size.

Supposedly 30-30 is the most common deer hunting cartridge, but I've never run into another guy carrying a Model 94. It's my absolute favorite. I like going into thick brush.

1858 Old Navy 44 cal revolver, replica, got me a blacktail a few years ago.

Full length Finnish Mosin Nagent dropped a WT in WI a bunch of years back, open sights.

I've shot several deer with an underhammer ML.

Someday I'll use  my Grandpa's vintage Winchester Model 94 30-30 with an original Weaver 4X sidemount scope that he got from my Grandma shortly after they were married - maybe this year for deer (off island).

I'd also like to use my 1884 Springfield 45-70 sometime too.

When you hunt with an Angry Squaw and a Crazy Larry what isn't unique or interesting!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Most of my guns are pretty bland; unique and interesting calibers is where I have a little more fun though!

The more well know but still uncommon calibers are:
358 Win (Savage Striker)
30 Herrett (Contender)
7mm TCU (Contender)
300 Savage (Savage 99)
284 Winchester (Savage Striker)
338 Edge (Jim Borden rifle)

The more obscure and unique calibers:
6.5 Badger (thanks to Biggerhammer )
270 RUM (Jim Borden Rifle)
338/375 Ruger (Savage Striker and rifle)
375 BME (Savage rifle)
458 Arnold (Arnold Arms Stainless Hunter built on Rem 700)

I've had some other really cool/random stuff over the years but most of them have moved on to new homes.

I use to do a lot of hunting with my old .250 Savage.  Not a real popular round anymore.  I also use to hunt with an old rabbit ears side by side 12 gauge.

Awesome topic!

35 whelen (love to have one), suppressed subsonic cast bullet 35 rem (outstanding idea), super cool stuff AWS.

My goal this year is to take a moose with my 44-77 sharps with a paper patched bullet.  Shot one buff with it but a moose would be way cooler.

Used to use my dads 250-3000 Savage as well.  Used his 30-40 Kreig as well once.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
