what is your go to big game hunting rifle?

I have the same thing. Love it to death, feels just like an extention of myself when I bring it up. Although the day my dad hangs up his I will take it and it will go on every hunt with my. My granddad's sporterized enfield 30-06, kinda heavy but shoots like a dream and holds 7 in the mag and one in the pipe if I want to.

Will your savage run the 140 s ?

I've only bought Nosler 120 BT and shot it. I can't find enough brass and I don't have dies for it. I most likely will only shoot what I have. Are the 140's what you've ran ? This is a $325 Trophy Package I bought after the $75 rebate Savage had on them a couple months ago. I've only shot it out to 300 yards offhand and killed a rock with it. Quite impressive I might say....
