Don't let this happen to you!!(Nature's Way Taxidermy)
« on: March 13, 2015, 01:45:25 PM »
This was done by a local guy that calls himself a taxidermist, just because you can wrap skin around a form doesn't mean you are a taxidermist. This person has no idea of muscle or bone structure or even in this case what a leopard looks like.  The guy had it done there because the guy was cheaper and faster than some of the rest as you can see that didn't pay off!! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU OR YOUR ANIMAL !!!!  Please don't ask who done it.

That most surely is what is known as a "Wampus Cat". Very rare animal of the South.

Are you going to remount it for him or is it a total loss?

I am pretty sure I saw a picture of this same cat as a kitten.  I can't find the link now but I remember there was a ton of debate over what kind of a cat it was.  Still not sure what it turned out to be but this is obviously some sort of relative of that cat.

It's a leopard, Cheetah spots are solid.
