I think the going rate for a 40D body is about $600 new.  Haven't bought any recently but I thought thats what I was seeing since the 50 came out

Your right Bone, that could be what it is now. When it was new I think it was a little more.

I paid 1599 for mine with a $250 kit lens included...but I was the first one around to have one so i paid the premium.

Canon service is fast.  They fixed it and put it in the mail yesterday.  It is tracking to be to me tomorrow.  I hope they are flying it in with all the flooding...

You think thats bad, I paid the same amount for the 20D package when it first came out, but like you I was one of the first. M-Ray just picked one up like new for $250 :bash:

Yeah, I forgot to tell you that I slipped when out shooting sheep last week with your camera.  Do you want all the pieces or just the main part of the body?

I will probably ship mine Monday.  I am hoping for a shoot this weekend.  A few not so crisp shots are better than no shots........

Hey Bone, have you figured out which way they are out of focus, + or -? You could always try adjusting your diopter to compensate for it, that might get it closer so you can then resharpen them with CS2/CS3?
