Mathews in Tri-cities
« on: March 25, 2015, 01:01:33 PM »
I just inherited a Mathews Bow from my little brother and might need to get it fit for me. Who tunes Mathews in the Tri-Cities ? I had it looked at at Sportsman's and was told this is an excellent bow with high dollar stuff but that the draw length might need to be adjusted a bit and that could only be done with a cam change. They cant do it because they are not Mathews dealers. The bow is an SE 4 ? with a Dead Nuts 2 Sight and a QAD ultra rest. Any suggestions ? I am new to bows, but ever since he got this one we had talked about going bow hunting. Id like this one to work for me but if not, Ill hang it on the wall with the antlers that are being sent to me. Thanks!

Ranch and Home by the mall is the only authorized Mathews dealer in the TC.

Nope, wont sell it. If i cant get it to work for me, I'll HANG IT ON THE WALL, with other memorabilia from my hunting family. I would like to learn to use it because we had always talked about switching from rifle. It would mean a lot to me. If that don't work for me, It will become a thing of remembrance.

A dealer can easily change out the cam to your draw length. One of the nice things about Mathews, you can still get parts for every bow they've ever made.
Also, SE 4 is the name of the limbs on the bow, the bows name should be on the left side of the riser opposite where the sight mounts. I'm guessing a Z7 or one of the variants of it.

Sounds like a great deal. Take it to Ranch and Home. They will get it swapped out and you'll be on your way!

Well i went to R&H today. this is a DXT model. They measured my draw length and it needs to be adjusted, will be a quick fix but they have to order the cam. Got a target and release today and will play with it when i get the chance. The guy also recommended that i get some personal lessons to start with, got some pointers though. I am getting excited to see how this works out since I've been a rifle guy all my life.
