Anyone know if Morton Meats went out of business, their phone seems to be disconected? They owe me some Caribou game bags....

I just talked to my brother in law, his brother runs the slaughter truck for Morton Meats and they are still open.

He cut up some pigs for me a couple weeks ago and he told me he was done.  He's already started another job and was just finishing up what he had in the shop.

Interesting, When I talked to my brother in law yesterday he said that they just slaughtered two beef on Sat n one on Sunday and had a couple more scheduled for this Saturday. I wonder if they are just closing the retail part of the business? :dunno:

I know he didn't want to close shop.  But he wasn't making any money.  He told me he was only going to be working weekends until he was done with what he had in the shop.  Maybe he changed his mind and is going to keep butchering on weekends?  :dunno:
