My D.I.Y. Kelly Hill bear taken 5/7/15. Called him in using a fawn in distress call. Drilled him at about 80 yards and he only made it about 25 yards before going down. His skull measured 18 6/16".

I am still getting familiar with the area over there. Where is Summit lake located? I got my bear near the center of the GMU.

Summit Lake is pretty much northeast of Orient off of highway 395 or southeast of Laurier a few miles.

Oh I was just trying to show the size of the white patch on his chest, I've killed several bears but never one with a white patch like that; I was excited. Wasn't trying to push any products!  :chuckle: But I do love the replaceable blade knives.

I killed this big boar in Northeast Oregon May 8th with a Ruger #1 .270-08   My son was standing next to me when I made the 53 yard shot.
