It was A very nice sized bear. I know this because he was no more than 100 yards away. He stood there for at least a good 2-4 minutes looking at us. There was a another one with him that I didn't get to see. My brother inlaw saw it tho and said it was smaller than the one in the picture.

I'm not sure. Very well could have been since I was not able to see it. I would have figured the cub would have been a lot closer to this bear. It was pretty far away on the other side of the clearing. Just glad I was able to see a bear. Now just gotta wait till the spring hunt starts!!

Sometimes a sow will come out into a clearing and mill around a bit for a few minutes. I think it's to check for danger before she lets the cub come out. I've seen this a couple of times. She would turn and 'woof' at the cub  and it would come out after the mother.

Was that actually  on The hunt side or the bridge gate side? You can go up the bridge hate side right now and probably see two or three a night if you know where the feeders are. The guys that feed the bears get pretty touchy about trail cams so I've gotten pretty good at hiding them
