Just spoke to my taxi, and made a payment. I asked him if I payed up front how long it would it take?.  He tans his own hides.  That takes a lot of time off.  To complete a bear rug from start to finish it would take him 2 months!!!

Its too bad this site protected her for so long by removing threads like this when they first started popping up.  I'm sure it could've helped steer some others away from her "business", and prevented a lot of customer headaches.

That's too bad if this is the case.

That is NOT the case. Some threads did get locked, when they got out of control and there was no further information being shared. But never removed, that I recall.

I've only had it for about 4 months.  So I have 14 months or so to work on it.

I fixed it for you.  ;)

This made me laugh out loud.
Literally.
It took me a second, but I picked up what you laid down.
Me too!!! Hilarious.  :chuckle:

Hi Michelle, this is Michelle, are you available?  :chuckle:
How bad is that communication if you don't return your own calls.  :chuckle:

I hope you e seen some of the hides he turns out. Useally hides not do e in a tannery are not near the quality. I've got a few mounts from a taxi that tanned his own and the hides popped on both of them

Hard to say. If he built himself a pressure tanner he may well do a better job, or as good. If he's good with a flesher the sky's the limit.
But....he might just do the chrome tan/cream tan home user kits....

Depends on if someone cares about doing quality work or not, i worked for a taxidermist who tanned his own hides and i would trust his over any tannery but ive also seen the other way. Some taxidermist are horrible and take advantage of the fact they work for themselves and cant lose their job, even when they screw ppl over they always find someone to trick into trusting them. The guy building your house has inspections to pass and other people seeing his work progress, the guy mounting your deer doesnt.
