I'm in for deer/elk points only this year. I should draw my elk tag in 2016. CO allocates its tags to go to the hunters with most points so you can pretty much predict what year you will draw. The outfitter I was going to go with was already booked up for 2015 so I am going to wait until next year.

I applied for preference points for 3 species and bought a small game license. I will wait for the leftover draw and see if cow tags are available in the unit I wish to hunt.

I'm thinking point creep is going to hit hard next year, there are ALOT of guys that waiting on the better (later) season dates for next year.  I'm hoping to draw out this year and be building again next year myself.

I'm thinking you're very correct on the point creep, I think there will be a lot of disappointed people who just knew they would draw that deer tag.
