Perfect start to opening morning
« on: April 15, 2015, 02:31:06 PM »
Driving down the road this morning on the way to the roost.   Ran into a turkey in the middle of the road, thing flips up over my hood and hit the car behind me.  Just happens to be a cop.  Guy pulls me over and gives me a ticket!  WTF

Did you tag the Turkey?
Just tend your own and live.

I got my money on "Inattentive driving" or "Driving too fast for conditions" or something like that.

Really, you got ticketed because he knew he was going to have to explain the turkey-shaped dent in his hood.

May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I'd like to hear the reason before making assumptions.

Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Sounds as if the Officer was following too close, 2.5 second distance and he would of not had the turkey land on his vehicle... :twocents:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

NAH ! I had a  hen come up off the side of the road and nail my passenger side window ...scared the living ---- out of us ! She rolls down the side of the road and when I stopped to get out she flew up in a tree  :yike: Those birds are tuff ! That's just crazy about the cop ! Must be an animal lover  :chuckle:

4 seconds is so that the driver also has time to look up from their phone in time to stop safely  :o

Why would they need to look up? I would assume that they would be rolling down the window to get a better selfie of them and the bird.  :dunno: :chuckle:
