Lets hope some rain falls or there might not be a regular season.  Isn't the property closed?

All Weyerhaeuser lands in Washington are open as far as I know.  (For those with access permits)

Here the email
Currently, the Margaret GMU is at a level 2 (shutdown zone 660).

The direction we were given last year from senior management was that permit access would not be restricted unless the Industrial Fire Precaution Levels reached a level 4 in that particular shutdown zone.  https://fortress.wa.gov/dnr/ifpl/IFPL.aspx  Level 4 means general shutdown (all operations are prohibited).  It has been 10 years since we have seen a level 4 but this could potentially be the year it gets there again.  I would offer refunds on permits if access was denied for this reason.  I would need the permit packet to be mailed back prior to issuing a refund.  The  Recreational Access Hotline/Website (link below) will be updated with any closure information.

Thank you,

Anyone have any reports from archery in the Marg to share?

Just interested in hearing how it's going.

I know.  Wdfw went in there with snipers and *censored* down elk with hoof rot. Plus they have our permits for the Indians to go in there and kill elk for years so. Y'all are in for a real treat.   Agnew is a jack@$$

There's plenty of elk in there.  I guess the guys that got busted parked on the hwy and hiked in.  Regardless if u like a guy or not as hunter it's our responsibility to respect other people's land. *censored* I can think of tons of places I can't hunt do to it being posted!

Exactly.  As long as you put in the effort, wind in your face and being quiet it should be a fun time.

I am not sure...   I think 95% will just drive the roads and walk in about 200 - 400 yards and turn around.  The other 5% will be going deep to get an animal.  Should be fun...

Was it a zoo while you hunted it this year? I would have thought archery would be about the worst one, that is the only time I'd even want to hunt that unit.
