I just picked up a donor rifle. a Sako m995 in 338LM

Looking for reccomendations fora muzzle brake, barrel contour, length and twist.

Benchmark makes magical .338 barrels. Call Chris @ Benchmark and have a discussion on the weight you want it to be. They will make it a shooter.

so, 9.5 twist for 300 grainers??

According to the berger twist rate calculator link , you could even use 10 twist and be able to stabilize a 300 grainer.  Although 9.5 might be better.

A 9.3 is awesome with a 300. 9.5 will work
