S7 Heat treated to 60 Rockwell

No shear or chipping issues at 60-R?  Sounds like it should keep an edge well.

Well it's not like I didn't have enough of a custom knife problem as it is!

S7 is tough stuff. Jackhammer bits and the like... Scott Gossman has done some pretty crazy testing with that steel. Drove an S7 knife of his making through an 1/8" steel plate with a hammer, cross battoned it into the same steel plate without edge damage, etc.
