They will be selling a lot more multi season deer tags now so I don't see them increasing the number, or the price. With the unsold tags now going back up for sale August 1st, it's likely all 8,500 will be sold. In the past the WDFW said they really didn't want to issue that many tags, but drew 8,500 people, knowing that a high percentage of those drawn would not purchase the tag.
I agree. I was just stating IF they did anything it would be raise the amount of tags. I think that would make them more money than raising the price.

This is the language that was approved by the Fish & Wildlife Commission last week:

I would like to see harvest statistics of multi season applicants, how many days they hunted, which season they were successful in and whether they hunted more than one weapon season to get their animal.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

Find some of that here: http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/harvest/2014/deer_general.html

It says in the regs online that the leftovers go on sale.

"at the discretion of the department".  Does not mean they HAVE to sell them, just that they can..

Really hoping they do!

My copy of the regs don't say that. It says " ...they may be sold to non-selected applicants....."
That says to me you must have applied to be qualified to purchase leftovers.
But yeah, it doesn't say "they HAVE to sell them".
