I've never had too much problem finding places to hunt around Pullman/Colfax.  Try wearing a pair of jeans, a WSU shirt, boots and carry a pair of gloves and pliers.  When asking for permission, start off by asking if they have any fences that need mending.  If they say no, just tell them thanks and that you were looking for a place to hunt in return for some work.  Be prepared to spend a full day or two though!     ;)

I have a friend with an 800 or so acre beef range just north of there. I'm sure he would be willing to let you hunt there if you would be willing to help out around the ranch now and then. Of course there is a small finders fee involved so you will have to do my share of the helping out around the ranch as well. :chuckle: PM me if you're interested and I'll get you in touch.
