1996 was the 1st year so 20 going in this year I guess?

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I missed a moose point sometime, so I'm at 19 for moose this year. Don't put in for goats, never have, odds are too low. And im out of the sheep draw since I drew last year with 16 points.

how do you find out how many points you have?   if you turn a poacher you get points?  one year I saw a guy draw a tag for something and he had 26 points.    mike w

Look at your draw results from last year.

It is possible to get 10 points for turning in a poacher.

I had 37 quality elk points 3 years ago, the poacher points are real, and the guys deserved the convictions.

You can get points for turning in a poacher but they won't go to OIL animals.

That's right - deer or elk only.

I had a guy in one of our hunter education classes ask the game warden if he could get poacher points for turning himself in. :chuckle:

X-Force - you're right, guess my elk points didn't fit into this thread - lol......Being a hunter ed instructor myself, I always like to promote the poacher points & encourage hunters to spread the word.
