Buying Flies
« on: April 04, 2007, 01:03:10 PM »
I tie my own for the most part except in emergencies, but a friend just turned me onto this guy.  He has INCREDIBLE prices and my friend showed me some of his ties.  Good stuff.  Anyhow, I have not personally tried any but can't see why not.  My friend brought me in his new catalog and it is top of the line like cabelas or better .  VERY professionally done.  This guy lives in Yakima, and I can't wait to make an appointment and go to his house.  I guess its unreal. Prices are unbeatable.  Cheaper than what you can tie for.  We are talking a dollar per fly type prices. Here is a link to his website

Nice webs site great flies as well, but I just like sitting in my basement when the spirit moves me to tie my own. They may not be as nice as the pros but I just like doing it, and catching a fish or myself on my own fly has more thrill.
But I agree he ties nice stuff and a unreasonably low price.

I agree Sisu, nothing like catchin' em on your own flies.  I sometimes get myself into a pickle once in awhile.
